Lent.
What does lent really mean to me? Well let me think. Ok lately I admit it I have not been a very devote Catholic but I know I am a good person. Lent this year however I have decided to give up Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram etc. and any other social networking website I figure If I survived without any internet, phones, xboxes and all that stuff growing up 40 days shall be nothing I would also like to even be able to give up my phone but of course my mom would die if she wouldn’t be able to reach me so I don’t want to cause her the heart attach. Anyways I’m just ranting on about how for the next 40 days I will not be online I’m kind of curious as to how this is going to go. A couple years ago I decided to delete my facebook, and twitter and whatever other account I had and I will tell you this much it was crazy I felt free because there wasn’t something in front of me 24/7 telling me what other people were doing and making me feel like crap if i wasn’t doing something “fun” or “cool” or “partying”. the down side however was the fact that I felt kind of out of the loop, of course I also feel that it tests friendships you find out who your friends really are and if their willing to go out of their comfort zone to find you as well and you them. Anyways I’m going to wrap this up I’m excited to take this on I also hope that by staying away from these websites it will also help me with school.
God Bless Everyone!
